During Ramadan, people offer fast for the entire day and they break their fast only after the sun sets. The breaking of the fast after sunset is called Iftaar . Ramadan 2023 will begin on Wednesday, March 22 after the sighting of the moon over Mecca and it will end on Friday, April 21. After the end of Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Saturday, April 22. However, the dates for Ramadan might vary for different countries. While it is expected to start in India on March 22, it will begin in Dubai and Abu Dhabi on March 23. Again, Ramadan celebrations in Pakistan will begin on March 22 while in Turkey, it will begin on March 23.
